I, like many other big fans of Game of Thrones, was more than a little excited about last night's episode. No spoilers here, but the Purple Wedding was just an amazing mix of favorite characters and just the right amount of death. Lovely.
So if you're in the mood to murder someone at a wedding and are looking for the right look for it, then have I got an idea for you!

| Murder someone at a wedding? Who would do such a thing? |
Purple is a color long associated with royalty, and I simply had to work it in to this look. I used a light gold shade for most of my lid, because both the Lannisters and Tyrells have gold in their sigils. I definitely intensified this look, but you can easily choose to not wing it out and make it a little bit more daytime and work appropriate.

Now onto the purple! Purple shadows can be a hard thing to find. Mine are mostly high end, but check out Wet N' Wild's Petal Pusher palette for more affordable and still awesome shades. MAC's Fig. 1 is a gorgeous true matte purple that I simply adore. I worked this in from my outer v to the middle of my lid. Grabbing a clean blending brush, I softened the line between it and Lt. Bronze up a bit. Because I wanted the look to be a bit more vibrant, I packed on more until I was happy with the color. To darken up the outer part, I used Laura Mercier's Violet Ink on a small pencil brush. I traced that outer v, really bringing the shadow out more. If it looks a bit messy, don't worry too much! We'll clean it up in a sec.
And by "just a sec" I meant "right this second". Using some of my Hard Candy concealer and a concealer brush, I tidied up the line where my eyeliner wing would go. I blended it out with a damp Beauty Blender. The point of that sponge makes it easier to create clean lines. The wing is creates with Make Up For Ever's Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow, which is super serious about it's waterproof-ness. Like, hella serious.
Because I fudged that up too, I went in with my concealer again to erase my mistakes. Benefit's Bad Gal mascara finished off the eyes!
Urban Decay's Brow Box in Brown Sugar finished off my brows. As for the rest of the face, I used Nyx's Pore Filler primer (a cheaper alternative to the POREfessional by Benefit) and Covergirl's 3-in-1 foundation. A little bit of that Hard Candy concealer to cover up spots, some Maybelline Age Rewind under the eyes, Jordana's blush in Sandalwood, and Becca's highlighter in Opal, and my face is finished! On my lips is Niagara bye NARS.
